A unique narrator, definitely on the spectrum but certainly functional.
A kind soul, brought up by a loving grandparent to cope despite her limitations. Trying so hard to rise above life's hardships. Being ridiculed and undervalued, taken advantage of, made an innocent dupe.
A murder mystery that is bereft of edge-of-the-seat action but that achieves suspense with the subtlety of gentle rivulet rather than the roaring cataract of a thriller.

Lovely delicate writing!
