How the West was Woke! I'm a huge fan of the series Yellowstone and hoped 1883 would be of the same quality, but it is not. I watched the first two episodes of 1883 and they are painfully slow. I also hate the character of Elsa. Was dyeing your hair blonde common in the western frontier ? Was it wise for a young woman on the frontier to put yourself in harms way by walking away unaccompanied ? Oh, and let's make sure we're woke by having a young woman in a fine dress be equal to grizzled cowboys. I'm sure this was commonplace for the time. If I watch another episode, I fully expect the character of Elsa to open an Instagram account so she can chronicle her clueless story with selfies.
