i am going to be 100% honest. the show was good but there were a lot of issues with it. this will contain spoilers. the reveal for jeanette seeing kate was very stupid imo. the poster for the show shows kate and jeanette looking through a mirror, the mirror is very prominent (they hold the shots on it for a while) whenever jeanette goes in the basement, and they had a whole mirror house in the carnival episode. what i thought was going to happen, was that the mirror is a 2-way mirror and jeanette did actually go to the basement while kate was there and looked in the mirror. kate didn't know it was a mirror because she could see through it, so when jeanette looks in the mirror and she and kate make eye contact, she thinks jeanette saw her but ignored her. but instead, they pull the stupidest thing i've ever seen it was so bad that it made no sense whatsoever. jeanette walks in for like 3 seconds and she hears someone and leaves. kate made a big deal about that??? that's when the ending could've been really good when she says she didn't see her and it is proven true with the mirror and it all is okay, until the end end when it shows her going back and she hears her in the basement so she knows she is actually there. BOOM now that's television. someone put me in the writing room because the writing was not it. and half the episodes were fillers anyways. out of 10 id say like 4 or 5 added to the plot and everything else was just there.

Where do I begin- The acting is incredible. The cinematography still has me thinking about this show to date. I watched it about 5 years ago and I still remember it for its amazing cinematography. The storyline is so compelling. Every 2 episodes is a new book (I have not read them) The way they can keep the storyline going even though it is a similar thing happening. Each time they meet a new guardian Count Olaf finds them but the way they do it, they do it differently in each one. Some may be helping him, some may be good guys, and it's just so greatly done. It is very depressing to watch tbh but I want to rewatch it so badly. I definitely recommend
