I actually really enjoyed this film. The special effects were very well done and visually believable. I love that the hero was the average looking “Everyman”! It was a pleasant, fun way to spend an afternoon.

An absolute triumph of nature filmmaking and storytelling. I was hooked from the first minute and emotionally drawn in by the beauty and drama of the undersea world and the rare and stunning connection between a human and an octopus. I wondered, while watching her reach out to touch Craig, what the experience of feeling the warmth of human skin meant to this highly intelligent being. This Oscar is very well-deserved!

Loved this movie!! The intricacies of the plot, mind bending action and superb acting kept me riveted and fully engaged the entire time. While the time warping themes are echoed in other Nolan films, this was a very original exploration of the subject and had my husband and I discussing it long after the last credit. I was especially impressed with John David Washington’s portrayal of a man who is peeling back the layers of his existence and fighting for the future of humanity at the same time. An excellent evening at the movies!!!

I found this to be a touching and poignant story. Even though it is essentially a fantasy, the cast conveyed the emotions surrounding unimaginable loss very believably. I highly recommend it!
