A great film plain and simple.Dialogue rock solid and the way the characters are fleshed out is a joy to watch.Newman fantastic as the amoral Hud Bannon.Melvyn Douglas playing against Newman's character draws out the tension between these two men.All in all one of my favorite movies.The cast as a whole didn't miss a beat.Highly recommend.

This film is a classic in the so bad it is good genre. The sets are cheap beyond words. The dialogue is laughable and the plot ludicrous. But for all its faults the movie has an undeniable charm. Ed Wood tried so hard and had so little to work with. Some people say Plan 9 is the worst movie ever made. Sorry but that title belongs to They Saved Hitlers Brain.
