I also loved this movie. It had an Abbott/Costello, Three Stooges quality to it that brought humor into this horror story. The police are calling each other idiots, making mistakes and giving the movie a comedic quality. However, the scary is really scary, much like the old Abbott/Costello films like Abbott and Costello meet the werewolf, mummy and invisible man. It's a treat.
