The woke media and leftie review bombers are trying to pretend there is some sort of resurgence in quality between seasons 1 and 3. There isn't - season one was an actual assault on the books. No one will remember but to "woke it up" they tried to claim the Dragon Reborn could be a man or a woman. The literal embodiment of the corrupted male power could be a woman. You'd have thought they could at least have tried to work in some nauseating "toxic masculinity" metaphor rather than just straight up burning the books. It's still a broken, politicised mess.
