A sophomoric approach to a difficult problem. My ex wife and I read the book and came away with the same impression (please note that we actually agreed on this, a very rare event indeed). This is a five paragraph pamphlet that got blown up into a marketable publication. The book makes a very reasonable suggestions, but then gives two very thin "case studies" followed by page after page of more reasons to buy the book. The next chapter follows the same pattern. State the obvious, give a couple thin success stories, then more reasons to buy the book. After the first couple of chapters, I would read the second paragraph of each remaining chapter and get the point quickly, then skip ahead to the next chapter. After the divorce, we both noted that this silly book could be done in a short five paragraph pamphlet. Do yourself a favor and just read the authors five little ideas on a website somewhere and save the money. In general I'm a fan of books and the free exchange of ideas, but this waste of paper and ink is best used to start a campfire.
