NO SPOILERS MENTIONED JUST THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE :) Having watched this movie today, my initial remarks I would say is it lacks integrity and character development within the introduction of the characters and the new situation that Po is facing, as seen otherwise in the previous movies. The new challenge that Po is facing is nothing new here but it's the way it's been done, it honestly felt boring and nothing flavoursome, Upon the many undesirable moments found within the film there is a particular moment where It spits us in the face. How? It does so by doing the pain-stacking concept of bringing well-known characters (Like yk the characters that are.........the Main FACE of this franchise!) into the conversation of the movie AND GIVE IT 5 MINS OF SCREEN TIME?!?!?5 MINS.... Are you serious?! Why not give them the ability to express themselves properly and add further depth to who they are, what their new motivation is, did they view Po differently this time around and why so? You know stuff that ...matters? And then side companion of Po lacks any intriguing personality and motivation whilst throwing away basically all of the other side companion characters found in the franchise and putting a heavy emphasis on the new but it doesn't seem to add anything to the character to grab on. What? What kind of Duo companionship is this if the movie doesn't care about the character but puts most of the screen time with it? I know it sounds strange because obviously, more screen time means more character development...right? Nope not in this film. The Villian is a very interesting concept that definitely had potential, -won't spoil it-, however, it executes its role in the most cliche 5/10 writing that I have ever seen. Much can be said here but All and all this movie is 5/10. The most disappointing film in the franchise. And its saddening to see such a well-articulated Kung Fu Panda universe be degraded to cliche themes and not well-executed characters boring stretched-out segments, an injustice to the previous characters found within the franchise etc. Don't bother watching this movie, it does not give any meaningful insight into the universe of the franchise. They better do well next time around because this is not a good way to end the franchise if this is the end. Disappointing. ( Actually Its a 4/10)
