It’s truly a great book, but it’s such a hard read! I read it years ago but by the end it became more of a test of determination than a pleasure. Then I recently rediscovered it in audio-book form (John Rutherford version on Audible) and I absolutely loved it. So many laugh out loud moments, and Sancho is one of the funniest characters in any book I’ve “read”. If you find reading it hard going, don’t give up - get the audio book!
