The movie was actually pretty good. The fact that they find a way to continue the evolution of the virus is pretty cool. I do believe a lot of twists are going over peoples head due to the ambiguity of it like the pregnancy scene. Keep in mind this is a “rage” virus. Even in the first movie before Jim kills the kid you hear the kid say “I hate you” while in the second movie both the wife and the son have a carrier like reaction that does not totally infect them, now theirs an alpha and breeding happening, so clearly some form of consciousness within the infected still exists even if briefly for a second. The storyline was fairly entertaining and the only reason why I gave it Four stars is due to the fact that we have come a long way in this series as well as technology and I believe the “thrilling and suspenseful zombie bashing action” could’ve been a lot more extensive and extreme on account of them fighting back more and the ending.
