It was true to the feel of so many classic eighties movies. There were elements that were reminiscent of Pretty in Pink, Beetlejuice, and Edward Scissorhands, just off the top of my head. It was quite a fun romp, and the violence stayed cartoonish, which fit the whole lighthearted vibe. If you enjoyed any of the aforementioned movies, you would probably enjoy this. The fashion and music were perfect.
