I am sure I may be one of the very few sci-fi horror game fans that still defends the Callisto protocol, it had it's issues, sure. But it wasn't given anywhere near as much time to be fully developed as Cronos new dawn, and THIS is what they came up with? A somewhat visually stunning copy and paste of Dead Space AND Callisto Protocol, with even less creativity and originality. You don't even get to actually use the one thing this was clearly supposed to be involved with, TIME, in any constructive or clever way, maybe as a tool to change the pace of the game. Callisto Protocol even had more original ideas put into it to truly add to the tension and pacing of the atmosphere, such as the melee, and the atmosphere was more than just a visual masterpiece, you literally felt as if you were actually there, hearing the clawing and echoing and screaming through the ceilings and walls and you were always on the edge of your seat at all times, even when you weren't fighting. I appreciate the effort that went into Cronos new dawn, you can see in the graphics and atmosphere alone that they put a lot of thought into it. But I feel like that's where the creativity stopped. They probably had a better and bigger plan for the time traveling aspect at some point, and just decided to play it safe when they realized, " we completely forgot about that", and by then the creators and directors didn't have anymore time since it wasn't spent evenly on the game as a whole. I think it's a shame that Callisto got shit on for not having enough, yet this is being hyped up as the next goat for sci Fi horror games, being just as , if not MORE limited than Callisto, and extremely grounded.
