They didn't have the three most fundamental migration challenges- the comms cut, the storm and the rover rollover. *Great movie but doesn't hold a candle to the novel. And while I understand that a movie can only be so long, they should've tweaked it a bit and called it 'Man left on Mars' or something.
FYI the great part is why it gets a star or two.
