Not great. The director is too manipulative and the acting and writing too simplistic. I liked the setting though and it has some effective moments. But I got tired of it well before the end

Awesome series adapted from a fantastic book. Really fine and authentic work. It's not only great storytelling, it really feels like a truthful window into a very different culture in a very different time. The directing, writing, design and acting are all first class.

It's thematically interesting and visually strong but it bites off more than it can chew and finally is only moderately good. It's a very imaginative story and the series has some great moments but there are some conceptual leaps and scenes here and there that are not well written or acted. Many of the actors are strong but several are miscast and just not able to make us believe that they are brilliant young physicists.

Sketchy and lightweight for the first third or so and then it got interesting and engaging and ultimately I found it moving.

This movie started out like a revenge story, then switched genres (and allegiance) to a celebratory satire of capitalistic amorality and then gave us a moralistic tag at the end - ultimately adding up to a story with no center, no heart and no satisfaction through any of the genres or emotions it manipulated. Peter Dinklage was interesting as ever and the rest of the cast had moments but the experience was far too clever for its own cute sake to be satisfying or even worth the time.
