I thought this movie was extremely well done! I actually prefer it to Get Out. I thought the metaphor was pervasive and heavy handed because racism is in fact pervasive and relentless! What I thought most striking was the depiction of just how nuanced and seemingly insignificant some of the instances of racist behavior were made to feel, that is what racism looks like. Many people will say they don't see it and it's because they're not looking, the film was full of racist microaggressions that show just how we all build filters and calluses after experiencing thousands of these interactions. I thought Regina Hall was phenomenal and I couldn't recommend this movie enough. Very well done.
