An old time favorite. Great movie. Suspenseful and good acting. Terry O'Quinn did very good as the perfectionist step-father, having almost unrealistic ideals of the "family-structure". Probably watched The Walton's one too many times. The mother was naive as hell. Moving a guy in and marrying him within like 2 months when you have a child, especially a daughter is not smart but it happens. They don't all turn out to be murderous psychopaths so I guess there is some trade-off. He got what he bargained for with this teenage girl though.
