This series was once one of my guilty pleasures however in the last couple years, the ladies had become rather tedious, mostly the new editions that were the furthest thing from upscale NYC socialites. Or want to be socialites, the phrase social climbers always comes to my mind even in the beginning of the series . However, I will take tedium and unabashed social climbing over this new reboot in of course a woke image, this recastingis just downright dumb. The, cast, or so-called cast, are annoying, uninteresting, and are more a kin to socialists than socialites. Far past time to retire, the show or bring back the original cast. At least the original ladies were funny with their utter craziness. This group is just annoying a line from the Clarke Boothe Luce play and film, the original film (1939),not the dreadful remake, “it’s back to the perfume counter for me” and that’s where they belong.
