For entertainment purposes only, it serves it's purpose. 3.5 stars. However, for the disregard and desecration of the entire story, for meddling far too much and taking too many liberties with the text, this series is just plain abysmal. There's no regard for plot, for characters that are true to their origin, or even for the main storyline. This is nothing more than a parody, made with greed and lack of talent in the directors. Read the books, or listen to the audiobooks for a significantly better story. The CGI is terrible. The characters chosen aren't at all represented by their in book description. The pace of the show is significantly rushed to the point of incomprehensible. The timeline is mangled beyond recognition. The main story has been altered significantly and I'm ashamed that anyone could do such a thing. I will not be watching the next ones. It's worse than season 7 of game of thrones. Avoid
