We didn't need this nor did anyone ask for it. Why wasn't time, money, and energy spent on expanding the universe with modern beautiful animation? This IP just does not work with live action. In animation, you have the luxury of consistent visuals, and exaggerated facial expressions, not following our laws of physics. So much of this live-action was green screen, how did no one think "Maybe it should just stay animated"? Unfortunately, acting, visuals, narrative, character progression and story arcs ALL fell flat.
