This is my actual comfort show. When I need background noise, feeling upset or anything else I watch Gotham. Wether you are a longtime Batman fan that has read the comics or just someone wanting to get started this show is great for you. It gives the backstories of each character meaning and makes you actually understand why the riddler, penguin, scarecrow and many other characters are the way they are. It isn’t like other origin stories that have no feel, this has FEEL. Just watch it okay? David Mazouz does an astounding job as young Bruce Wayne and I can’t stress enough how amazing Cameron Monaghan did as both “jokers”. Even if you don’t want to see the show as canon which I can totally understand, it’s still worth watching.

I swear this is the best show. You definitely need to have at least game or book experience as it is quite confusing if you don’t know about the Witcher. But other than that, the show is astounding and the more you watch, the more you understand. I do recommend playing the games though because it does help along with the books.
