All the actors played a good performance. The disjointed bits like the chimpanzee, the dad dying with not much grieving didn’t help.
But let’s be honest about what really made the stars drop from this review: The creature.
I was not really that scared of it. It was if Joanne’s Fabrics lost some spools of fabric and this got most noticeable towards the end. I didn’t see guts inside or anything resembling an organic creature. Just some puffy poofed up fabric that made me wondering if the trapped people were unknowingly doing a rebirthing.
Febreezing someone to death just turned a Nope into maybe, as in maybe this is not that scary. As for OJ he must have had the only joke in the movie. Look down and flying static clean won’t kill you. I wanted to like this movie but I think it’s identity got lost
