Raising Arizona was quirky and funny. Poolman was quirky, confused, and sad. Seemed like a vanity project for Pine.

Stopped watching after the "all white people in the south bad" episode. Could have been a great sitcom with the talent on board,

I promised the wife finally a movie without guns, and well....at least it was not about that. Too much cussing though for me. A pleasant movie that gave me a few genuine chuckles.

No real comedy. A brief "quirky" performance by Bill Nighy. Oyelowo seems to be channeling Martin Freeman (unsuccessfully). His character starts beta and ends beta, No hero journey for "Dave". Cuoco plays an alternate universe Penny; same hair, speech, and demeanor but born into unfortunate circumstances. I despise the cheapest form of drama creation writers perpetrate, placing children in danger. Here, children are kidnapped and statements are made they could come to harm. I wonder why Hollywood producers are so enamored with casting Brits and other Europeans who can pull off a passable American accent. Are there no actors locally who are on the same level? Cannot recommend as a "comedy" or even a "rom-com." As a "drama/thriller", walks a well worn path done better by many other moving pictures.

Willowy mopey short haired protagonist's boyfriend dies. They say it was suicide but protagonist believes it was murder. Protagonist suspects an eccentric tech billionaire and utilizes an acquaintance to hack into a extremely powerful computer. Oh wait, this is the synopsis for DEVS.

I have read some of indigenous community members critical (with good reason) of "pretendians" in Hollywood movies and television. Casting a British actor from privilege, no matter how talented, to portray the American Icon Bass Reeves seems non genuine in a different yet viscerally similar manner. Were there African American (ADOS) actors denied opportunity for the role? Other than that bee in my bonnet the show is quite good and Bass Reeves deserves to be remembered.

Not a fan of the overused trope of children in danger, which this movie uses extensively. In fact, the plot seems to a series of children needing rescue episodes. One small child is restrained by bad guys once again moments after being rescued! The movie seems aimed at young adults, the next gen of Avatar fans I suppose.
