Aquarian Christianity

This is one of my top-five favorite movies of all-time, but I am enamoured of most of The Kendricks Brothers' movies in the extreme! If you're not a fan of Christian movies and don't like romantic dramas, I don't recommend; otherwise I certainly do! It's about a marriage heading for divorce between a fire chief, Kirk Cameron's character, and a publicist for a hospital, Erin Bethea's character. 'Caleb Holt' drives wife, 'Catherine,' to the point of saying, "I want out!," to which Caleb responds, "If you want out, that's fine with me!," as he shouts in her face. Meanwhile, both his father and firefighting teammate encourage him to not give up, but he has. Catherine, also, finds a new love interest in a young doctor at her workplace. There is a happy ending, and some mediocre acting by Bethea and the character who plays Caleb's father, but a definite winner for me! It's a big-hearted movie.

About 3.5 stars. I went into the theater expecting a stupid comedy I could just laugh at. I now own the movie on DVD. 'Asher,' Conor del Rio's character, is completely slapstick and goofy, even to the point of ridiculousness. However, 'Renato,' Luis Gerardo Mendez's character, is the opposite, a bitter businessman who is about to get married, distant from his soon-step-son. They are sent on a road trip by their dying father to learn about him, and for Renato to discover why his father left him and his mother in childhood. Tears and laughter, an emotional drama, and a quite unexpected movie with a happy ending. With this movie, DON'T ASSUME!
