It felt like a REALLY LONG SHORT FILM. Enticing plot, though simple with reductive story elements. Captivating cinematography that does complement it really well for the most part except: - I didn't understand why the over-the-top bloodbath scene with the studio audience at the end dragged out for as long as it did, definitely took me out of it - a transition to another transition (the random heart/dragon flame effects) also didn't make much sense and didn't seem to fit graphically imo - Not a mindbliwing ending but it fits the brutish quirkiness and tragic absurdity that shape this movie.

It just wasn't funny to me. I only laughed at the clumsy boss Frisbee and he's a tertiary character. The show is just another pile of long looong loooong drawn out dialogues of awkwardness between Ben/Melissa and the baffled/intimidated characters around them... Because Melissa is awkwardly unhinged, basically an f-bomb machine in oversized glasses who's exaggeratedly verbally violent and threatening. And Ben is a timid, casual guy that says casual things that are super awkward. Okay. I love them but this is getting so old and there are literally no jokes, just unprovoked swear words and that's one tool that needs rest from Ben's writing... And I had no issue with the show being "Christian based" or whatever people are calling it out for. Y'all are bashing christianity so hard but forget that ALL religions are like that lmao. In fact I think christianity nowadays is the least hostile to others in how it portrays itself in the media (or irl) and I'm not even christian... Maybe pop your bubble and travel around a little bit?
