Overall I felt as if there was no connection in the entire movie, one second they’re in India the next crossing over to Pakistan and then they’re in England. "Dunki" is a very serious topic, it’s true that many lose their lives in trying to get to places out of India illegally, making such a movie on a topic like this isn’t a joke, if anything it could’ve been a documentary and been a lot better, the concept of "Dunki" is the reality and shouldn’t be made fun of by making it into a comedy movie. I understood the idea behind it but it could’ve been done better. There were places where things didn’t make sense at all, for example, in the beginning of the movie SRK comes in search of a man (Taapsee Panu’s brother in the movie) in which the parents of Taapsee Panu in the movie are shown quite old, the brother of Taapsee is show dead and has a 5 year old son as well so naturally Taapsee’s character should be in her early 20’s or so but towards the end after a 50 year time skip when the characters return to India, parents are still alive! It honestly didn’t make any sense to me. The narration could’ve been better. "Dunki" isn’t a very simple thing and the way it’s been shown is disgusting because there are people who’ve actually suffered due to lack of education and lack of money.
Finally to sum it up: It’s and okay movie, the topic he’s g been made a joke of, there isn’t any connection either. It’s not worth it.
