Rarely has a film had me on edge like this. Do watch the Swedish original if you can.

This is a surprisingly good and quite moving series, I find. Beautiful insights into life in southern Italy, too. I watched the Italian original with subtitles, which would be my recommendation.

A bitter disappointment. The original concept is simply being sold out in the most superficial possible way. It is probably every true Matrix fan's worst nightmare, and leaves none of the original spirit intact, no matter how methodically it regurgitates the previous versions' features. The worst thing is probably the combination of a weak, sentimental plot and what amounts to a lame jam session of old special effects. The first hour, I still hoped to see things to ramp up to something meaningful; the second hour, I grew increasingly disappointed with the way things were going, and during the final half hour, I closed my eyes to the pandemonium and just quietly prayed "please, let it end." They never should have made this film. If you love The Matrix movie, do not watch this one, it's a disgrace.

Imagine a shooter game with pretty scenery and more dialogue. Not balanced enough for me.
