It’s funny but thought invoking and like many other works that were made in moments of history that seemed completely unique, this was made a time where the average person doesn’t know what to believe or who to listen to. The movie itself if made just two years earlier would leave most people scoffing at its hilarity however I believe in this day and age this movie should terrify most people who consider themselves intelligent. To me it was frustrating to say the least watching the various plans be foiled by sheer stupidity and utter greed and reminded me of scenes out of the movie idiocracy in its total dim witted approach to obvious corruption in governments world wide. In the same vein that starship troopers was not realised for its genius in its time I feel like this movie will become more understood as it ages. Hats off to the actors for portraying such a ridiculous world, considering the vast majority of them have been outspoken and vocal about their contempt for government truth it must have been difficult to pretend to feel the same in this movie.
