I watched this documentary and as a human being I was heartbroken.
We have men identifying as women who haven’t even tried to understand a woman’s plight. Women identifying as men without understanding a man’s plight.
Rachel was the president of the NAACP helping the American black community and you mean to tell me that counts for nothing?
Most black people haven’t and some won’t ever take the time out to understand their culture and heritage in full but Rachel has.
No one. Absolutely no one took the time to understand Rachel and why she identifies as she does.
Regardless of how anyone feels about this woman she is a human being, a mother and a citizen of the world.
Everyone deserves the same basic level of respect. The torture and torment this documentary exposes Rachel and her family have gone through brought tears to my eyes.
She’s human. She’s not a criminal. She hasn’t harmed anyone. If anything she has given love and found safety in a community and so felt she wanted to be apart of it.
Humans are not linear and all deserve to have a basic level of human kindness and respect.
I’m happy this documentary was released. Her story needed to be heard in full.
