Ñîtîsh Kùmãr

Thangalan is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language action adventure film directed by Pa. Ranjith from Tamil Prabha and screenplay by Azhagiya Periyavan. It is produced under Studio Green and Nizamuddin Productions. The script was written by E. Gnanavel Raja. The film stars Vikram alongside Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone, Pasupathi, Hari Krishnan, Arjun Anbudan and Preeti Karan in a fifth role. Set during the British Raj era, a militant tribal leader is caught in the crossfire of an apparent sorceress after she incurs the wrath of a British general by aiding him by finding gold in his village. The film was officially announced in December 2021 under the tentative title Chiyaan 61, as it is Vikram's 61st film as a lead actor, and the official title was announced in October 2022. Photography began that month. It was shot sporadically in several stages, and was completed by early July 2023. The film festival covered Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, Madurai and Karnataka. The film has music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by A. Teenager Kumar and editing by Selva Master.
