Um...I guess it's just us, but my husband and I stopped after the 3rd episode. I loved it at first but quickly realized it was just too too much. I get the realness of the chaos and stress, but it seemed like they jammed in every possible story line ever imagined. Big corporate takeover - check! Underage abortion - check! Bizarre accident - check, check, check! And the characters -- so one dimensional. We have the stoic, tragic doctor. The straight-laced, humorless intern. The naive, farm-boy intern. The sassy, tough intern. The working-class white male racist. The no-nonsense head nurse. Single-minded hospital administrator. Hot young doctor. Hot older doctor. Hot maverick doctor. I also found the acting over the top. The episode with the brother and sister debating whether to take their father off life support was enough for me. The actor playing the sister was too unbelievable, the sibling relationship was unconvincing, and the soliloquies to the dying father were straight out of a Hallmark Channel movie. Ugh. Every character is so bloody earnest; makes it so unbelievable and inauthentic. I get that the lack of subtlety or nuance is a big part of the appeal, but it turned us off.
