A very different film from the original, unfortunately if you are expecting the same seriousness and tense atmosphere you will get that… for about 4 minutes then you will have Lady Gaga singing and all that tension is gone and so is the film. While the songs are nice to listen to it unfortunately takes away from what the film tries to do. Overall if you go into this thinking it as serious as the first one don’t expect this to be the same. Phoenix does an amazing job as joker, and lady gaga isn’t so bad here but it doesn’t work
