Played lots of the open beta and then bought it. The games opening is the weakest part and that along with ubisoft reputation nearly put me off it. People are right when they say its arcade like, but unless you are looking for a proper sim game the ship play is good. The main loop of hunt ships for gear is enjoyable and the customization is great. It reminds me a lot of "sid meier's pirates", and while it would be nice to have melee combat its not a deal breaker for me. The "AAAA" claim is clearly nonsense said by someone that has probably never played the game his company creates, but it is a solid well crafted game mechanically. I don't like that the games first year of content feels like its probably already made and is being held back to drive retention. So I could understand why many people will want to wait and buy it once the price has come down and the first years content is added.
