Loved the first half, then it went off the rails for me. Was hoping for a little more kickassery from Emira; I don't want to ruin the ending but just will say that I was hoping for more. Also Tamra was awful. Alix is the worst it goes without saying, but this book could have addressed the way Tamra gives Alix permission to do these ignorant things and then faces zero consequences. Would read a whole book of Emira and Briar's conversations though.
