The game has a few issues for sure. However for the most part I’m having a great time. I was quite disappointed with last years Cold War entry, so I was skeptical with the release of this game. The bottom line is, if you’re loved 2019’s Modern Warfare, you should have a great time with this game. Even if not a fan of the time periods weapons and maps, the games engine and controls will feel like a return to comfortably. The games gunsmith and attachments also largely inaccurate and modernized, but to good effectiveness in my opinion. 20 Maps at launch with many to come. There are standouts and fillers, as per usual. As a counter to the awful SBMM of recent titles, the game offers three levels of pacing, which I’ve found to be exactly what was needed for balance. The progression and rewards that await are what continuously keeps me hooked. The flaws of the game mainly stem from obvious laziness from the Activision Teams. The reskinning, reused finishers, lack of operator skin variety, among other things are the primary issues. If you can look past a few minor hiccups for this years entry, I think you’ll have a good time with the game. 4 out of 5, and subject to change with patches and future content.
