I am 13 years late, But I just watched the series last night and it absolutely touched my heart. I couldn’t help but feel connected to the characters and feel their emotions in their entirety. This anime conveys how important family and being there for one another is, also The real danger of an earthquake in Tokyo. The ending left me absolutely heartbroken and I couldn’t stop crying and weeping for almost two hours. I haven’t cried so much since I was a kid. This anime is absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend watching it.
