Visually, amazing movie. Costumes, set design, background, etc. we’re absolutely beautiful, but the story was very much lacking. It felt very akin to a parody of a movie rather than the movie it wanted to be. It felt like it was just one-liner after one-liner, and it got old quickly. The characters didn’t seem like they could have a normal conversation without throwing in some silly joke. Christian Bale puts on a wonderful performance, he did very well in the role along with the other main cast, but he in particular really shined. Overall, decent movie, but I was let down.
