After the brilliant "I am Pilgrim" I was hoping the wait for the sequel was going to be worth it. How wrong I was!
The first half of this book was good and followed on well from the first book. But the the unbelievable amount of predictable drivel that comes from the second half almost reads like Terry Hayes just could be bothered. The amount of descriptive "padding" and the unbelievable (not in a good way) story line makes "Year of the Locust" one of the worst books I've read for a while.
Disappointed does not quite cover it.
