I really had high hopes for this movie, but is a major flop for me. I gave three stars for the actors, they were great and for the potential of the storyline. This movie in my opinion could have been great but missed the chance to explore some issues it merely touch on. (kinda the way Rene merely touch Clare when she fell.) Such as did Clare and Rene have a past intimate relationship or romantic feelings for each other? Was Rene’s husband gaining feelings for Clare or was in all in Rene’s head? Why did we never see Clare’s daughter? Why was Rene so against having sons know the truth about race in their younger years? What was the story with Rene’s maid? Did Rene push Clare out the window or was she protecting her? Too many missed opportunities for me but somehow I feel it was meant to have this effect on the audience. Not sure why.
