So this movie was great and here is why. Was the writing the best? Not really. Is the story line thin? Yeah it is. Does the movie make you feel good. You bet. If you just watch this film to feel good and enjoy, then this is an awesome movie. The nostalgia references are just enough for all audiences. The old cast is excellent and jumped right back in to their previous roles. The new cast including Murphy’s own daughter did very well. The addition of Westley Snipes character was just plain fun. I think the critics have forgotten why we watch movies. They are an escape for 2 hours. After the year we had, this movie is the perfect escape to feel good and just laugh. Maybe this movie will be remembered as a defining time of when we finally were able to get back to normal life. And let’s not forget. It’s free if you have Amazon prime. It’s a no brainer.
