This was I think the most memorable TV I have watched in 5 years, aside from 'Shogun'. Haunting, in a good way. As others have said, the art direction and cinematography are wonderful, and the stories are each poignant and/or thought provoking, windows into aspects of the human condition. The acting quality and music add further richness. After watching I wanted to talk about the stories with others! Sadly it was too slow paced for my partner to get into. The tone also put me in mind of Ray Bradbury: Contexts are not over explained and life is not straightforward or glamorous but is yet Beautiful.
Sooo gutted there won't be a second series.
