Just my two cents as a viewer: To decide if Army of the Dead is a good film, one must watch first Netflix Army of Thieves. Army of Thieves, to me and my friends, was a Great Successful Film! Novel, New German actor who can act, suspense, action, romance, European location. The ending made the viewer look forward to another successful action and suspenseful sequel…. And perhaps a continuation of the budding love between the two and the search for the last Wagner Gotterdamerung safe to crack. BUT ALAS, it was not to be. Immediately there was a sequel. Hmmm, must be a better sequel I was looking forward to like the first film. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SEQUEL Army of The Dead? 1. They changed the whole plot 2. They focused on a spin off from Jurassic Park escape, I Am Legend and World War Z movies. 3. They did not focus on the German Actor and focused on actors with characterizations that I thought was off track. Really weird plot twist that did not follow up on the successful Army of Thieves. 4. They DID NOT bring back the same girl! Expensive fee? The stunner Nathalie Emmanuel in the original movie held the previous movie Army of Thieves together. What a heart breaker! 5. They KILLED the New heart throb German Actor Matthias Schweighofer the safecracker! What were the producers thinking? The producers killed the Goose that Laid the Golden Egg $$$ 6. They made the film a zombie film right through the end. 7. The first three safes were really works of art. I was expecting a really majestic last Wagner safe Gotterdamerung. Well, the last safe looked like a GI sheet. CONCLUSION: : I was really disgusted with this Sequel! I wanted to call the producers and tell them how lousy the sequel was compared to the first successful film. 👎. You could have made another blockbuster sequel but you guys deliberately fumbled it. What a waste of a successful first Branding. 👎. I hope Netflix and producers will not bungle any sequel to the successful RED NOTICE film.
