Unsurprisingly, Blizzard once again fails at mediocrity. The game itself is a poorly done, hastily put together remake of the original with a small amount of new content. The UI is a massive downgrade from the original, and several of the original's features have been removed for no apparent reason (things like fire, which has been only visually removed, ranks displaying on portraits, and level borders). The UI and general feel of Overwatch 2 is more akin to the Roblox clone.
Overwatch 2 is also plagued by a plethora of bugs. The servers were down for most players until several hours after launch, and disconnects were still common in competitive for much longer. If you happen to give in to Blizzard's cash grab by buying the battle pass, there's a chance you won't get any of the rewards you earned (and paid for). Even if you're a veteran of the original, there's a chance you can queue into competitive and not have any characters unlocked to use. These are the most glaring bugs, there are several more minor bugs which contribute to the extremely poor quality of the game (mostly to do with UI.) There are more parts of the game that are broken than functioning properly.
The launch of Overwatch 2 has been absolutely beyond abysmal, which is dire for an already low quality product. Impressively, Blizzard managed to fail in almost every aspect that they possibly could. It's not much of an exaggeration to say that a room full of monkeys could have done a better job developing the sequel.
