Outstanding and a bit unexpected for a Disney film. Disney songs are always very good for the movies, and well sung, but many of these lyrics transcend the movie storyline itself and make connections with the audience beyond the usual constraints of a kids movie. The range of voices are atypical of the princess stereotype but the arrangement is masterful and the highly inspirational. Nicely done.

Good, solid film and well performed overall. Core cast executed really well, but I thought the villains needed more depth (as in many of the MCU movies). Thought Black Widow dying in the MCU was wasted opportunity for Marvel to focus on intelligent female characters rather than solely eye candy or emotional depth they are often utilized for. Black Widow's intelligence is underrated but I thought this movie did a decent job of showing someone who was able to think quickly on their feet and play the long game even in the heat of the moment (i.e. taking the antidote during her fight with Task Master and then getting kicked off the roof).

A challenging book to read, so take lots of notes. However, it is also one of the most brilliant novels ever constructed. I originally read it over a summer in my youth, and re-reading it brings so much more context to the world of Tolkien and the film adaptations that have comes since.
