I loved this movie... It was beautifully painful to watch how quickly love and life can be turned upside down and just how alone you really are...
It was romantic, I forgot about them being on the run in some parts of it.
Sadly in the African American community the plot that begins this movie is way too close to a reality that they know, and that's not right.
I think the main characters were portrayed in an endearing light and with respect and that is what makes it so provoking because no matter how amazing they were they couldn't escape their reality. They couldn't change it no matter what there was nothing they could do to explain away what happened the night that this all started.
There was no walking away with justice and respect in their future in this movie not when it comes to law enforcement or white law enforcement.
You knew things were going to get real and you rode that slow decline with them and just enjoyed every minute of their lives until then because you knew two young lives were going to be lost and cannot be replaced. It was powerful in painful but worth every second of it I'm planning on buying a copy of it. And I love the title of the film and just makes you wonder what it's about.
