As a fan of the video games, this was lacking. The characters didn't have their skill sets from the game; 2 characters were not present from the first game. It gave the vibe of writers and producers who never played or even properly saw the video game - at best, they saw 10 seconds of game play and went "we can make a movie with this". It probably would have been redeemable if it had been an animated movie of similar style to the game, or had gone down a more darker route, but that's just my 2 cents.
