I've recently rewatched the seasons. As a lot of people have said the start is quite interesting. As time goes on, Evy Myles histrionics (at last someone told her in series 3 when the Judge said she was probe to emotional outbursts in court too much) - I think acting - wise, anyone can pound a steering wheel and swear a bit and feel like the world owes us anything - but after the first few of these it just gets tiresome. Obviously they were trying to focus on her face and body, tight skirts, tight denim shorts etc...same old uniform we see these days in the street from young and old (ie past 40 trying to be young), focus on her lips, pouty, made up tons, but the acting? Looking at the camera and staring - a bit basic? We can all do that? The histrionics - as mentioned - are also tiresome. Yes the landscape is great at times and the weird driving onto the beach with Baldini's truck just got very....predictable - then the looking out to sea - that was also used loads in Poldark to eat up the screen minutes. As with other BBC 'drama' seasons, they seem to take 6-8 episodes to say the obvious that could be said in 4..yes she's good looking, yes she's looked after herself physically, but pounding the steering wheel, giving the finger to Cerys when she dares to disagree, all seems very spoilt brat at times...

Have just started it. I hope there is not going to be any more loud eating - very off-putting - it can't be guaranteed that, despite them being an acting professional, they have been brought up properly and the constant long scenes with loud unnecessary eating is just plain rude in the end. Why does the viewer have to put up with this terrible row - it affects the quality and I had to use the +20 seconds far too many times.
