Amazing film that shows the unseen struggles with PTSD in our community. I also struggle with PTSD after the death of my son. When I discuss with other African Americans about this some don’t have any understanding of what it is and only assumed that it’s a result of combat. In some communities we are at combat. Side note this movie portrays to be filmed in Roseland not exactly it was filmed in
Bronzeville and Grand Boulevard communities. The first tell tale sign is when they get off the Green Line at King Drive talking about 112th. Native Chicagoans know that the elevated trains don’t go pass 63rd on the Southside east and west 63rd. It would have been nice to actually film the movie in Roseland another underserved community in Chicago. Roseland is in the 10000’s not the 5000’s as in the movie. Aside from being geographically incorrect it’s at great film.
