(No spoilers here!) I thought this was a good mystery/thriller with a crazy plot twist. I love seeing Kristen Bell in anything, she’s such a good actress and conveys the emotion of the character effortlessly. The beginning reminded me of the other movie Netflix did (“the woman in the window”) I did research to see if I could find any correlation but I didn’t. However I Do think so aspects were pulled from that movie. Regardless of similarities I like this movie better and it was more exciting and more interesting to watch. I highly recommend this.

Um so I have a few things to say about this film. This is gonna be hard lol. First let’s start off with the story of what’s the issue in the movie. Spoilers btw. People can’t seem to sleep in the movie, only a small amount of people can. In the beginning they start fighting over the little girl talking about sacrificing her because she was able to sleep. This is just a weird obstacle to me. I’ve seen plenty of apocalyptic type movies where viruses and etc. bring the world to an end but not being able to sleep?…really? It’s kind of laughable. But this concept grew on me in a sense because not getting sleep can cause a slew of problems and actually cause psychosis, which becomes interesting because reality and psychosis from sleep deprivation start to blur. I like psycho-thrillers and I feel like it kind of taps into that in that aspect. A couple of the moments in the movie that I guess were meant to be comedic were a little weird too. The first one I noticed when the little girl asked her brother did he and his ex-girlfriend ever have sex. As the girl walks away she says her brother has never had sex before as like a joke. Not to mention this is all after she just witness a traumatic experience which was seeing a man get shot in the head. So there’s 2 things; one, why would the little girl even think to ask about her brothers sexual experiences after she just saw someone get shot in the head. You would think she would be shaking with fear that she can’t think about anything else at the moment. Two, why would a little girl want to know about her brothers sexual experiences anyway. Same difference if the average child wouldn’t care to know if there parents are having sex. I don’t I just thought it was a waste of minutes that could’ve been used to say something else. Also it wasn’t realistic because the girl was calm during this, where as she should’ve been scared to death because of what she just saw. Okay last but not least the cast. Now I think overall the acting is decent. The main character however is not who they should’ve chose for this role if they wanted a mother. She’s a great actress don’t get me wrong , she did her thing. However, she looks like she 25/26 yrs old. It doesn’t look right to put her in a motherly type role having an older teenage son and a preteen daughter. It almost looked like she was the older sister instead of the actual mother. The movie overall is…ok. Do I recommend it? Well let’s just say if never happen to see this movie, your not really missing anything.

The reason why I won’t give this 5 stars is because it was good all the way up until the end. Like what in the world. The cast did great. The acting was good and the emotions felt genuine. The ending sucked for me though because I wanted to see the husband arrested for the murders he committed. I wanted to see justice served against this psychopath but no the movie just ends leaving everyone wondering did this man get caught or not. The ending is really left up to our imagination. Overall a really good film. Next time please make a complete ending.

Omg! Like omg! I can’t believe that they allowed this to happen. First don’t read this if you haven’t seen the movie. Because the spoilers are coming. First I’d like to say what in the world were they thinking ending the movie that way. They didn’t end up with no money. Majority of the main cast dies. The main character gets bitten and turns into a zombie. The main characters daughter was with him and had no choice but to shoot him. And when the heat came (meaning about to get attacked by zombies) they were doing stupid stuff. Like looking at each other in slow motion. Not moving immediately when the zombies were chasing them. Just stuff that was gonna them killed. The only person who survived was the daughter and I thought for a second the black guy did too. He managed to make it out with several bags of money and then later discovered he was bitten on his arm. The movie was good but nobody had a happy ending! Like why would they make it like this. Ugh the ending just irritated me. So unfortunate. It would’ve been better if maybe one person died but everyone managed to get out with the money. Boom that would’ve been a good story line. But no they were just like hey let’s kill everybody and make the ending sad. I hate movies like that.
