There are a lot of funny things about living in Alaska...they just didn’t put them in this show. This is yet another show about Alaska brought to you by non-Alaskans. The “jokes” and one-liners (eg Alaska broken), aside from not being funny at all, are also things that no one here says....ever It’s really unfortunate as entire episodes could be had with topics like snowmachine Vs. snowMOBILE, the word cheechako and our love-hate relationship with tourists, the odd mountain man recluse characters that live here and on and on. Clearly, the producers of the show are not from here, have not visited here, and certainly have not consulted with anyone from Alaska about some of the funny stereotypes or inside-jokes.
